An A.TR certificate<\/strong>, which is a very important document in trade with countries around the world, also provides significant commercial advantages. As with all official documents, certain conditions must be met when issuing an A.TR certificate. In this part of our blog, we will discuss how the A.TR certificate is prepared, for which countries it is issued, and the requirements it is subject to.<\/p>\n

How Should an A.TR Certificate Be Issued?<\/h3>\n

Exporters issuing an A.TR certificate in T\u00fcrkiye generally prepare the document in English. If the document is prepared in Turkish, it must also be prepared in one of the official languages of the EU countries. In addition, for documents issued by EU exporters, it is sufficient for the certificate to be prepared in any official language of the Community countries.<\/p>\n

For example, for a product to be imported from Germany, it is sufficient for the A.TR certificate to be prepared only in German.<\/p>\n

On the front side of the A.TR certificate, the exporter, the company to which the goods are sent, the exporting country, the country of destination, the description of the goods, transportation details, package marks, serial number, quantity and type, gross weight, remarks, customs endorsement, and exporter\u2019s declaration are included.<\/p>\n

On the reverse side of the A.TR certificate, there is information on the verification of the document\u2019s authenticity when requested by customs authorities, inspection requests and their results, and instructions on how this A.TR certificate should be issued.<\/p>\n

The A.TR certificate can be prepared either electronically or by hand. Documents filled out by hand must be completed entirely in capital letters using a ballpoint pen, and must not contain erasures, additions, multiple strike-throughs, or scribbled sections. Corrections should be made by crossing out the incorrect text once and writing the correct information next to it. If possible, the document should be reissued on a blank form. After completion, all corrections must be certified by the customs authority.<\/p>\n

Since the A.TR certificate is a movement certificate issued between T\u00fcrkiye and EU member states, it is prepared for exports to Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, the Netherlands, Ireland, Spain, Sweden, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Greece.<\/p>\n
