VAT Refund in Micro-Exports
When Can You Apply for a VAT Refund?
Declarations issued electronically (ETGB) are registered in the system within 24 hours after the aircraft departs. Once they are registered in the system, you can immediately apply for a VAT refund.
How Are Customs Duties Collected for Products Covered by ETGB?
Customs duties related to export shipments are collected by the air cargo company and are paid within 7 business days following the delivery of the goods to the air cargo operator.
How Is ETGB Inquiry Performed?
To make an ETGB inquiry, you must first visit the website of the company that carried out your express cargo transportation process. Then, by entering the master airway bill number into the empty field on the declaration inquiry screen and clicking the “Search” button, you will complete the ETGB inquiry. Through this inquiry, you can access the declaration number and date.
You can contact us to carry out ETGB inquiries for your international shipments made with QuickShipper.
As a result of this inquiry process, individuals or institutions that perform micro export gain the right to receive a VAT refund. However, since there are no printed documents or declarations such as VAT copies during express export processes, proof-related issues may arise in some cases. In such situations, individuals or institutions can prove that they have carried out a micro export transaction through the declaration number and date obtained after completing the inquiry process.
