Allegro E-Commerce Platform

Allegro is a multi-category online marketplace based in Poland and is considered the most popular e-commerce platform in the region. Put differently, Allegro is one of the most promising players in Poland’s e-commerce market and, with a market volume of approximately 10 billion USD, it holds a significant position in the sector. In addition, Allegro is ranked as the fourth-largest e-commerce platform in Europe.

MARKETPLACE MODEL ON ALLEGRO

On Allegro, where it is possible to access almost every type of product category, users can both purchase and sell a wide variety of products. After creating an account on the platform, sellers need to list their products.


ALLEGRO MARKETPLACES

As a regional marketplace, Allegro is the largest e-commerce platform in Poland and has a very strong presence in the country. In addition, it is considered one of the most successful e-commerce marketplaces in Eastern Europe. The number of users on the Allegro platform is approximately 17 million on a monthly basis.


ALLEGRO PRODUCT GROUPS

On Allegro, products ranging from electronics to fashion and apparel are listed for sale. It is possible to access product groups such as fast-moving consumer goods, garden and home supplies, health products, baby products, beauty products, entertainment products, automotive, sports, collectibles, B2B services, as well as general services and entertainment. Through the Allegro platform, both new (unused) and second-hand (used) products can be sold. However, the majority of products listed for sale consist of new items.


ALLEGRO PRICING MODEL

Most products offered for sale by sellers on Allegro are listed using a fixed pricing model. In addition, for certain products, an auction-based pricing model can also be used on the platform.


ALLEGRO MARKETPLACE SERVICES

Unfortunately, services such as shipping, storage, and fulfillment are not provided by Allegro to its users.


ALLEGRO COST MODEL

There is no registration fee for users on Allegro. However, the platform charges sellers a listing fee for each product they list and, based on sales, a service fee and commission (calculated as a percentage). In addition, there are fees for bids and marketplace advertising.


SELLER-ORIENTED SERVICES ON ALLEGRO

Allegro essentially operates as a self-service online platform, and communication processes are generally conducted in the Polish language. Notably, Allegro’s call center provides a higher level of service compared to many similar platforms.
